Each Companion

The night is so kind,
so full, so alive –
I will sit immersed in blessings
until dawn – reflecting;

There are days when
it is so clear –
the grace in others,
the soul spark in all:
the unclothed tenderness
makes this heart ache
with loving –

And the tears that come
seem to be made of light
falling in silent streams
from the beautiful overflowing

I wish I could keep a drop
or two, to remember
the gratitude which says “Yes”
to life’s unfolding and,
recognising each companion, asks
“How – oh how
may I serve you more sweetly?”

Presence of Light

We all have Wounds
and we try to conceal them from Light;
We bandage them tightly
and say “Don’t touch me there!
Don’t even look –
It will hurt
too
much”

You can spend a whole life time
in fear
of being tender.
Don’t be afraid
of becoming undone.

The truth,
when perfectly revealed,
will release you fully
to heal
the deepest
source
of Longing.

What do you long for?

If you stop to listen
for even one moment,
You will feel
the Presence of Light
against every atom
of Being.

We can find a thousand reasons
to resist the Soul’s embrace

Secretly we know
that

Only this Love –
relentlessly seeking our softness;
flowing toward us
in wave after Luminous wave –
can dissolve all the Pain
we mistakenly held on to
in this long
lonely Dream.

We hide behind walls of grief
for we know
we will be lost
in the infinite of Loving
when we surrender
the need
to be separate.

It’s time to let go of our shadows;

The purest freedom comes
from allowing
Love

Don’t run away,
be opened by the sweetness;
abandon the self completely
to your burning Heart:

G-d
has been waiting there,
since the first spark of Life,
to immerse your whole Being
so tenderly
in Light

Surrender Your Face

Only this space remains,
this intimate, expanded space.
Only this silence remains:

Full, warm and alive!
Full, warm and alive!

I believe we survive all destruction,
the true self cannot be destroyed.
All that can be hurt and removed
is only that which we are not:

If it feels pain, it is not you!
If it feels fear, it is not you!
Let pain come.
Let fear come.

You are beyond.
When all that comes
has passed,
you will remain
untouched.

Closer than before.

You are stronger than you think!
You are stronger than you think!

You can be completely naked,
You can be completely empty,
You can be void of all desires.

Let the world take you apart
Piece by piece, if it must,
until you are so
tender and vulnerable;
until you have become
undone.

Be tortured if you will,
until there is nothing left
of all that you think you are.

Be exposed fully:
Surrender your face
and grace will come.

Love comes.
Only love remains.
